1995

It began when some Indonesian students expressed a desire to establish an Indonesian Christian fellowship in Eugene. They gathered and had fellowship with one another, and prayed faithfully for the growth of the fellowship. The fellowship grew in number, and in 1996, they started to gather in the Northwest Christian College Music Building.

1997

The church in Eugene planted another church in Corvallis. Some young college students who relocated to Corvallis in 1997 helped pioneer the church there. As the fellowship grew, they moved the location from an apartment to the King's Circle Assembly of God Church. The fellowship was established as a church in 1998 to further its growth.

July 2, 1998

Ps Oscar and Ellen Surjadi came from Indonesia to begin their journey to serve as the local pastor for the Eugene and Corvallis churches.

1998

The Lord expanded our territory, and we began to plant another church in the Portland area, where we first met at a Baptist Church on Allen Blvd. On October 24, 1998, we moved our corporate fellowship to the Korean Mission Church in Beaverton. The number continued to grow as the Lord added the souls.

1999

The fellowship in Portland was officially started on April 3, 1999, as the Oregon City Blessing Church. We continued to hold our Indonesian service at the Korean Mission Church.

2002

In August 2002, we leased a property together with a Hispanic Church in the Beaverton Tech Center area.

2004

In October 2004, we purchased a vacant church building at 450 NE 78th Avenue, Portland, OR, and have been conducting our service at this property ever since. We also took another step toward accomplishing our vision by switching from Indonesian service to English service.

2010

Starting October 2010, we adjusted our church name to Portland City Blessing Church.
